The Library and Information Services (LIS) month is declared by virtue of Proclamation No. 837 s.1991 to focus public awareness on the invaluable service that libraries and information centers render such as providing data and materials for lifelong knowledge and learning for research and for leisure.
In support of this endeavor, the Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo – Information Resource Center (AEA-IRC) joins the nationwide LIS month celebration with the theme “Library as a Place: Continual Learning in the New Information Landscape” to be held on November 14-19, 2016. It has the following objectives:
1. To market the use of AEA-IRC resources and services;
2. To promote reading habits and information literacy;
3. To increase Intellectual Property (IP) awareness and strengthen IP skills of librarians and selected faculty members;
4. To train selected members of the academic community on the use of plagiarism checker.
In line with this, we would like you to come and celebrate with us. We appreciate your presence and precious time on this activity. Attached herewith is the program of activities. For inquiries please contact Ms. Arlene R. Manzo at local 3171 or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
